Realigning (Again): Why Time, Fulfillment, and Connection Matter More Than Metrics
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about time.
Honestly, I’m always thinking about time – but it’s been top of mind more than usual because I’ve been really busy. I’m currently juggling what I like to call my never-bored-always-tired lifestyle: teaching crafts at the library, substitute teaching, “working” at a yoga studio (quotes very intentional), and now running two brands.
So yeah… time management? Wicked important.
And usually, when we talk about time, we’re really talking about what we’re getting from that time. And most often, that means… money.
But here’s the thing:
I don’t actually value money the way most people do.
I mean, I value it – I like groceries and electricity and birthday parties – but I don’t measure the worth of my time by how much money it generates.
I measure it by fulfillment. Joy. The impact I’m having on people.
(Stay with me – this does tie into Party Your World.)
Recently, I looked back at my last 90 days of posting consistently on Instagram. I experimented. I tried the trends. I stayed consistent. I trimmed my videos and optimized everything “right.” And when I didn’t see much growth or a jump in sales, I started to feel like it was a waste of time.
But then I remembered: the goal was never just to sell.
The goal was to gather information.
And here’s what I’ve gathered:
I want to spend my time connecting with people.
Having authentic interactions.
Creating things that feel good to make – not just things that might “perform well.”
So yes, I’m realigning.
Again.
And I’ve learned that’s actually a strength, not a failure.
We’re not meant to stay rigid. We’re meant to grow, shift, reflect, and course correct.
Because what’s the point of all that reflection if we’re not willing to do something with it?
So here I am, doing something with it.
I’m shifting back into what matters.
Telling stories. Making meaningful things. Sharing ideas that inspire celebration – even in the little moments.
Because fulfillment, joy, and human connection?
That’s what I want to create and celebrate.
Thanks for being here. 💛
